Alkali (with Preesall) Angling Club consists of 3 large freshwater lakes sized 6 acres and 2 at 3 acres. They were initially formed from land subsiding from old salt mine workings. These are situated in Preesall Village near to Knott End in extensive countryside offering a peaceful setting for coarse fishing. The 3 waters are well stocked that includes Carp, Tench, Bream, Roach, Perch, Pike and a single specimen Catfish.

Fishing on the waters has occurred for over 60 years and we have amassed over 500 members. The club is run by officials and committee voted on at an annual AGM, on a non-commercial basis. All subsciptions going back into the club for ground maintenance and fish stocking. The club benefits a number of volunteers who assist in the running of the club, hence allowing annual membership fees to be reasonably priced.

Day tickets are not available with new memberships taken from the extensive waiting list.
